The Day I Said Yes: My Perfect Engagement

I truly don’t know if I’ll ever be able to explain how surreal this day felt — but I’ll try.

Eric told me we were just going to take some “cute pictures” to send to our friends. Nothing fancy. Nothing big. I didn’t suspect a thing. I thought it was one of those sweet, simple moments we’re always creating together.

What I didn’t know was that he had been quietly planning one of the most intentional, thoughtful, and love-filled surprises of my life.

When we arrived, it all started to click — in the most magical way. Standing there was my best friend, Emily Zur of Emily Zur Photos, camera in hand, ready to capture every second. And behind the scenes (quite literally making magic happen) was my other best friend, Laura of Bee Social Productions, who had set everything up.

 It was romantic but effortless, intimate but joyful. I kinda spaced out for a minute lol but then felt completely present — not rushed, not overwhelmed — just wrapped in love and excitement.

And then Eric asked.

In that moment, everything else disappeared. It was just us, surrounded by so much love, intention, and support. Saying yes felt easy. Natural. Like the most obvious answer in the world.

What makes this engagement so perfect isn’t just the photos or the setup… It’s the thought Eric and my two besties put in. The way he included the people who know me best, and how deeply seen and loved I felt.

To Emily and Laura — thank you for helping create a moment I’ll cherish forever. To Eric — thank you for loving me in a way that feels steady, thoughtful, and safe. I can’t wait to spend forever with you.

Still floating. Still smiling. Still can’t believe I get to say this…
